Removal and installation of the bushings set 1-20-172 for the steering rack.

Attention! Before starting a work of the removing and installing of the bushings, choose the metal tubings (hub base and hub driver) for the removal and installation for each bushing. Hub base I.D. should be 1-2 mm. bigger than O.D. of the bushing’s flange (fig.3) not to interfere removing of the bushing. O.D. of the hub driver must be the same as O.D. of the inner metal sleeve. While removing, note the positions of big bushing and detents of the bushings. Mark the steering rack for the further correct installation.

Removal

Attention! Original stabilizer bushing has the outer metal shell. Choose the metal tubings (hub base and hub driver) for the removal and installation. O.D. of the hub driver must be 0,5 mm. less than O.D. of the outer metal shell to avoid damage of the housing bore. I.D. of the hub base must be 1-2 mm. bigger than O.D. of the outer metal shell not to interfere the removing of bushing. Removal and Installation of the Bushing 14-06-2311

Attention! The original bushing has a diametrical displacement between the metal components. The bushing is directed toward the mount of the bracket by smaller size offset. The location of bushing in the bracket is significant for the proper operation of the suspension. The worn out parts has not clearly offset, so you should mark the bushing to indicate the correct placement of the bushings in the bracket.
